Code Yellow was formed in June 2007 to compete in the 1st Google Puzzle Hunt. (We are still patiently waiting for team Phobos-Grunt to put on the 2nd Google Puzzle Hunt.) For some of us, that was our introduction to puzzling. Since then, we've gained some new members and lost some members that moved out of the area.

A slight majority of Code Yellow are Googlers, and a slight majority of Code Yellow are MIT alumni (orthogonal).

Roughly speaking, Code Yellow is comprised of:
 +

 +
* Current or past members of the Gmail front-end engineering team.
 +
* Friends of the above.

Code Yellow is also known as [[Snow Job]] when we field two teams for an event.
